Day 4: The God of Second Chances

Reading: Jonah 3:1-10

Devotional: "Then the Lord spoke to Jonah a second time." These eight words contain the heart of the gospel. God gave Jonah the same assignment, but Jonah was different. The storms, the whale, the darkness—they had transformed him. This time, Jonah obeyed. Your past failures don't disqualify you from God's purposes. In fact, the lessons learned through running from God often prepare you for the assignment ahead. God specializes in redeeming wasted time, wrong decisions, and seasons of rebellion. The Ninevites experienced the greatest revival because Jonah finally said yes. Who might God be waiting to reach through your obedience? What second chance is God offering you today? Grace doesn't just forgive; it puts us back on the road to fulfill our calling.
